Hackney Yaki is a project started by the artist Kentaro Yamada. Kentaro leaned Japanese ceramics from his father Kenju Yamada who has been practicing traditional Japanese ceramics for over 40 years. Kentaro grew up in Fukuoka, Kyushu where there is a strong tradition of ceramics in the region.
Kentaro has been exhibiting his artworks internationally. Recent activities include workshop at Victoria and Albert Museum London and his ceramic works are collection of museums such as National Ceramic Museum of The Netherlands.
